    Our friends at A& E and History continue to help us celebrate our nation’s birthday. We’re still giving away stuff every day for the next week. For this contest we have another copy of Titanic: The Complete Story on DVD to give away. It’s been 100 years since the Titanic disaster. Get the complete story in this 2-disc set.

    To win just follow these instructions.

    2. Do not post your address as an actual comment!  Instead – Tell us what you think is the worst disaster in American History.
    3. Only those comments that answer our question will be considered.

      The worst disaster in American history must be the 9/11 bombings of the twin towers and the Pentagon, and the loss of the plane in the field.

      Although the 9/11 disaster is still a fresh wound on our hearts, I think the Great Depression had a more lasting effect on the country. Every single family was affected in a very real way. I think of it as the war without weapons. Not knowing where your next meal was coming from, the value placed on employement, the sense of worth – it even re-defined the meaning of family
