Deadly Impact is a rather sweet new drama just released by MGM on April 20th. They'll be a full review next week or so. In the meantime, I had the chance to talk to a couple of folks involved in the film. The first was Robert Kurtzman, who directed the movie.
You may know Kurtzman for his extensive special effects work over the years. He's worked with Freddy and Jason. His own film, Rage became somewhat of a surprise hit recently.

Last night Director David Worth spent a few minutes with me on the phone. Worth directed one of the recent Mystery Science Theater 3000 films, Warrior Of The Lost World. He worked with Clint Eastwood on Any Which Way You Can and Bronco Billy. He's teaching now and working on a second book. His current book is avail right now and we've provided a link. He seems like an all around great guy. Check it out.

Years ago I was fishing at an isolated hidden mountain lake with my friend, local DJ Willie Nelson. It was midnight just as my birthday was to begin on June 21st (Summer Solstice). We both witnessed something that neither of us were ever able to explain. What can only be described as a UFO, was what we saw. Bright lights moving silently close to the ground and over us. I wrote this song about the experience years later and included it on my Invented Memories album. Enjoy this real-life horror tale:

In the year 2000 the horror community awarded me song of the year for a song I wrote about my love of monster films. When I played the song for Sarah Karloff she nearly busted my guitar because she was hugging me so tight. With the help of my wife Ellen Sassani on cello and Daniel Swartwood on keyboards we recorded the song as a tribute to Boris Karloff. Enjoy this completely original song. It’s available as a bonus track on the In Cold Blood CD. Check out the ad to the right to get one.
