Synopsis

Michael Madsen, recently sprung from jail, is determined to stay out of trouble. Things startoff well, when he wins five grand and a Lincoln Continental in a poker game. He heads off forLas Vegas, planning to multiply that money. What he doesn’t know is that there’s a corpse in thetrunk of the car. Then he picks up Patricia Arquette, a sociology major and mob family daughteron a vendetta against another mobster. Needless to say, all hell breaks loose, and does so quiteamusi…gly. While hardly original, this is still good fun, and perfectly acceptable way to kill 90minutes.

Audio

The music has a strong mix, and the effects are decent, though we don’t quite have thecreation of a full environment, and the disc is only in Dolby 2.0. There is also occasionaldialogue distortion. Some nice left-right separation, though.

Video

The picture has been cropped to fullscreen. The blacks and contrasts are okay, but nothingspecial, there are occasional speckles, and the picture is often a touch on the murky side. Notreally much beyond what you’d expect from VHS.

Special Features

Nothing whatsoever.

Closing Thoughts

Basically VHS on DVD, but an entertaining enough film.
