Nintendo’s Japanese conferences have announced some Wii details; more than likely they will not change with today’s US conference, but here’s what we know so far:
* Wii will retail for $250 and release on Nov. 19th. Will include a pack-in game (been a while since we’ve seen that) – Wii Sports.
* The system will include a web browser, digital photo viewing and a connection to news and weather ‘channels’. Hopefully what the ‘channels’ are will be clarified soon.
* Virtual Console…(Wii’s classic download service) will include support for Genesis, Turbografix and MSX games. 30 Nintendo Classics and 30 Sega/Hudson classics should be released by the end of the year, with 10 coming every month.
* Virtual Console pricing: About 4 bucks for NES games, 7 for SNES games and 9 for Nintendo 64 games.

Wow, $250, November 19th (course in connection w/ the Christmas season), looks like some good internet possibly and fair pricing and selection of titles for Virtual Console. Kedrix just became a very happy Game Boy! 🙂 The pack in game is appreciated, but it should have been a Mario title of some sort.

This is probably the one system I’ll get, mainly because of the price tag. Plus, I’m not a serious gamer anyway, so…
