  12. Bob Hope was the consumate entertainer. I always admired the way he spent his time entertaining the troops, to ensure they could enjoy the holidays as much as possible while serving our country.

  52. I can still remember falling in love for the first time when I was six. The guy had a big nose but boy oh boy could he tell a joke. I still love you bob.

  61. I grew up watching Bob Hope in all the tv specials that were on. I remember watching his movies on Saturday afternoons. It would be a treat to win this compilation !

  98. I first encountered Bob Hope’s star on the walk of fame not long after he had passed away. Upon seeing it, I crouched down, reached out and touched it. At that moment, a few foreign tourists snapped a few photos of me, taking me away from what was a deep experience. I guess it’s worth it to be unwittingly shown off in scrapbooks somewhere near Tokyo.

  106. Bob Hope was one of the true Americans who’s selfless service to American servicemen should never be forgotten. He took his celebrity status and paid us all back 1000x over.

  156. Bob Hope was an asset to the military personel in his day…I remeber watching his specials growing up and even as a kid thought he was funny. One of those celebs you actually miss when they pass on. I don’t tend to cry when celebs die but I did when he passed. He has a place in my heart always. Thanks, Bob!!!

  280. Once, for my birthday, my parents took me to see Bob Hope live. Woody Allen was a fan, too; watch “Love and Death” sometime and you can just hear Bob in the lead role.
