Join journalist Bill Moyers as he leads some of the most passionate and thoughtful Bible discussions ever conducted.  In lively small-group conversations with participants including novelist Mary Gordon, scholar Elaine Pagels, theologian Karen Armstrong, artist Hugh O’Donnell, and others, Moyers examines 10 well-known biblical stories – those of creation, humanity’s fall, the flood, Abraham and Isaac, Joseph in Egypt, and more. The participants will share personal insights, challenge ideas, and ultimately learn from each other; but at the center of each discussion lies the Genesis story itself—by turns elusive, uplifting, shocking, tragic, and poignant, but always endlessly fascinating.

Gino Sassani

Gino Sassani is a member of the Southeastern Film Critic's Association (SEFCA) and The Critics Association of Central Florida (CACF). He is a film and television critic based in Tampa, Florida. He's also the Senior Editor here at Upcomingdiscs. Gino started reviewing films in the early 1990's as a segment of his local television show Focus. He's an award-winning recording artist for Omega Records. Gino is currently working on his 8th album Merchants & Mercenaries. Gino took over Upcomingdiscs Dec 1, 2008. He works out of a home theater he calls The Reel World. Favorite films: The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, The Body Snatcher (Val Lewton film with Karloff and Lugosi, not the pod people film), Unforgiven, Gladiator, The Lion King, Jaws, Son Of Frankenstein, The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, and Monsters, Inc.

    We had our family together for Lasagna lunch…yup on Turkey day so they could spend the rest of the day with others.
