Because I love indie films.. I don’t think anyone else realizes it’s not a Ben Stiller comedy.. he’s not even in the movie if I recall. Sometimes actors get to show their talent behind the camera

I read the book Submarine by Joe Dunthorne about a year ago and I don’t think I’ve ever read a book I could relate to so much. Oliver thinks in that ingenious and slightly absurd way that I find I do and the film takes ideas from great classic films and makes them better. When you’re watching it it’s not exactly “Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore” but it’s pretty different to any film I’ve ever watched. As a filmmaker I really want to win this film so I can get more inspiration from Richard Ayoade to make my own films.

What better place to confine teen angst than within the layers of a DVD? I love discovering a hidden gem of a movie, and everything I’ve heard or read about ‘Submarine’ proclaims it’s just that!
10/16/2011 @ 11:17 am

10/16/2011 @ 11:35 pm
Pick me, I would like to win!
10/19/2011 @ 4:47 pm
I’ve only recently begun to hear little murmurings about *Submarine*. I think you should pick me because I am a diehard indie film fan, and if this dvd came to live with me, I’d love it and hug it and call it George.
Fingers crossed…!
