Had a feast alone at home this year. Kielbasa, macaroni sald and cucumber salad. It was lonely being by myself, but I am hoping to be able to share the day with another person soon. Hopefully, I did not engorge myself to gain too many pounds.

I took my 2 sons and daughter-in-law to the casino for the Christmas Buffet. It was much easier than cooking a Christmas dinner and no cleanup or dishes to wash afterward.

OK this is funny. Our Christmas supper was a bowl of Borsch which is a Russian soup. It is served with bread and cheese. Dessert was pumpkin pie. So it was actually a light meal and we went cross country skiing the next day.

However we still need to lose our tums and bums as my niece says as she pats my hubbys tummy. lol

My husband & son and I celebrated at home. Stoked the fireplace, turned on the Christmas lights. We ate chicken pitas with tomatoes/cukes and Ranch Dressing. For dessert we had Vokos yogurt with green grapes. Simple, healthy and in tune with starting the New Year off right.

I worked all through the holidays…10 days straight…1 day off…back to work with a double shift…went no where, did nothing besides work and sleep for the month of December. Thank goodnes, Mom showed up with a huge parcel of left overs and goodies, before I went back to work XMAS DAY.

Went out to the inlaws for Christmas dinner – pork roast and all the fixings. I’m a turkey person myself but given that I was a guest, I probably shouldn’t complain. 🙂

We made a turkey just with our two kids and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Christmas without the extended family os the way to go. No offense to any who enjoy the company – we’re all just homebodies. Plus my wife is chronically ill and is housebound – makes the decision easier.
