Synopsis
Model Jessica Alba heads off to a party in the country with her current boyfriend. The house is owned by the members of a once-popular rock band, and there are creepy dolls and a deaf-mute young woman about. Alba wakes up the next morning abandoned by her boyfriend and imprisoned by the family. The only person who might be able to help her is the obscene caller who’s been causing her so much grief.
This is one of those movies that you forget even as you watch it, because almost eve…ything in it has been done before and better elsewhere. It is not helped by the fact that not only is Alba’s character not particularly sympathetic, but Alba herself has no screen presence here at all.
Audio
The track is in 2.0, and doesn’t invite much commentary. It’s clear enough, though some of the dialogue is a bit distorted. The music is given a fine mix, but there is very little surround at all (it is a quiet film) beyond the music.
Video
Another fullscreen transfer (blechhh). The colours are good, as are the flesh tones and the blacks, and there is very little grain (barring some minor artifacting). The images sharpness is acceptable. A decent looking disc, despite the fullscreen aspect, but nothing very special.

The menu is basic, and there’s a whole mess of trailers.
Closing Thoughts
One of those movies that just sits there and leaves you completely indifferent. Much like the disc.
