Tapped Out is an independent film starring Georgio. It is also produced, written and directed by Georgio. The film is adapted from a story by Georgio. Oh, and the music supervisor is this guy named Georgio; maybe you've heard of him?
Honestly, it doesn’t really mater if you have heard of him or not (though you probably haven’t), my point has already been made. In previous reviews, I have stated my distrust of independent films that put too much power in the hands of one man, especially when that one ...an is as obscure as the singularly-named control freak in question. One man can’t do all things on a film set. If too much is attempted, even by A-list personalities, everything they do will suffer. A film is a mass creative effort, and when that sense of collaboration is lost, so are many unique ideas and talents. If a filmmaker can’t trust the professionals around him to do a fine film, he may be in the wrong business.

In his directorial debut, Matt Dillon gives us a character driven story with fantastic cinematography and numerous plot twists. Matt Dillon, better known for his role in teen flicks and his over the top performance in “There’s Something about Mary” definitely can add another credential to his Hollywood portfolio – actor and director. It just seems funny that in his directorial debut he features himself as the main character.
Dillon plays Jimmy Cremmins, a New York con artist, whom in the wake of a huge in...urance scam finds the FBI looking for him. He escapes America and goes to Cambodia to search for his con artist mentor Marvin (James Cann). In his journey he meets many interesting people including Kaspar – one of Marvin’s henchmen (well played by Stellan Skarsgard), the sleazy hotel owner (Gerard Depardieu) and the beautiful English art restorer (Natascha McElhone). Jimmy learns that his associates have kidnapped Marvin and held for ransom, he must try to find him.

It Runs in the Family is a film that combines three generations of the Douglas family – patriarch Kirk Douglas, son Michael Douglas and grandson Cameron Douglas (Michael’s son from his 1st marriage). It’s not clear how much this movie resembles their real-life problems but chances are the emotions involved are quite similar.
The movie follows the story of the Grombergs. Mitchell Gromberg (Kirk Douglas) is the founder of the law firm that his son Alex (Michael Douglas) works at. Alex is quickly involved in...an affair with a fellow volunteer at a soup kitchen (Sarita Choudhury). This is an event that gets the movie rolling.

“Let’s go kick some Christmas butt!” When these are the climactic words spoken by Santa Claus prior to his Christmas Eve trip using a flying ice cream truck instead of his sleigh, you know you’re in trouble. A Freezerburnt Christmas is easily the worst Christmas movie I have ever seen and would challenge any reader to find a worse holiday film. Even though it is only 22 minutes long, I was frustrated by the fact that I’m never going to get those 22 minutes back. This was a stop-motion cartoon but let’s face it – the...classics were stop-motion “Rudoph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Frosty the Snowman” to name two, but they were classics because they were made in the 60’s and stop-motion may have reached perfection at that point…almost 40 years ago!
<p Freezerburnt is an ice cream vendor that happens upon a plan by an evil toy tycoon to oust Santa and supply the world’s children with toys made by his company. As it happens the tycoon’s name is Sualc Atnas (otherwise known as Santa Claus backwards…ouch…they actually paid someone to come up with this stuff) and has a striking resemblance to Sadam Hussein. I don’t know if that was intentional or not but it’s pretty bad. Anyways Atnas breaks into the local science professor’s home and steals his prototype gravity generator to use it to ground Santa’s reindeer. How diabolical! He then wants to get Santa’s magic flying powder to use his own vehicle to disperse his toys on Christmas Eve.
