Over the years I put up with quite a bit from my two children, who are now fully grown and on their own. But still being a dad doesn’t end there, something always comes-up, and who do they run to first but dear old dad. I was always there for my children; from soccer,baseball and dancing games and events, and through it all I loved every minute of it. Now I’m going through it all again with my grandkids. It keeps me going, and for that I’m very gratefull. It’s not an easy job, but it’s made me aware of what my father went through when I was growning up, and he helped to raise six of us. Because of him I’ve become a better person, and a good father.

My dad is a huge history buff. His dad was a fighter pilot. He just gobbles this stuff up. He deserves it because he always thinks of great gifts for other people.

My dad is a Korean war vet so I know he would love the WW II video. Also, we took a cross-country trip several years ago so the America and President videos would enhance his memories of that trip. My dad has been a big supporter of me through the years and especially lately he’s saved me from being homeless.

My dad is one of the strongest guys I know. He’s 70, battled cancer twice, has heart problems, and a number of other health issues. The past decade has been very trying on him, but he still maintains a smile on his face. He never fails to make people laugh even though he’s in constant pain. He’s one of my heroes. He loves anything and everything having to do with history. I can’t count how many times I’ve found him watching specials on the history of glue, paper, etc. He would enjoy these so much.

Sadly my Dad passed away some years ago, but if he were still with us I’m sure he would have really enjoyed watching these titles. He had a hard life but provided for us the best he could.

My dad would be particularly interested in the WW2 set because his father served. He is also an Alien conspiracy buff, so he would love that one as well.

My father would love this because he always taught us that history was an important thing to know so you can be reverent for the good things and learn from the bad things. He is the reason I have such an interest in US history, and to a lesser extent, world history.
