my first date ever was a pretty big deal to me (hey, i was 15 at the time)! he was older (17) and could drive…so it was off to the movies, followed by shakes at the pennside drive-in and a trip to skyline drive. the good news is he got me home by my curfew (11pm). the bad news? my dad found out he took me to skyline drive… 😉

My parents were strict and told me no dating until 16. When I was invited to a Christmas dance 6 months before my 16th they reluctantly let me go after much pleading. Rules were that I had to be home right after the dance ended and of course they were waiting up to make sure.

It was an unchaperoned drop off to see the movie “The Rose” at a local multi-plex. I remember that she had braces and all we did was kiss and slobber!

My first date with actually with my first serious boyfriend. He asked me to the skating rink. We met there and we skated for the 4 hour session and then afterwards he took me to big boys where we shared some fries and talked till 1am. That was the latest I was ever out with a boy at the time.

She told her parents she was going to see a movie with some friends, instead we met outside of the local mall. We walked, talked, held hands, and kissed. Not realizing that time had slipped by, and that the movie had ended some two hours ago,she ran all the way home. Of course she was grounded, but that didn’t stop us from seeing eachother again, and again.

A double-date to a hockey game and all of the side roads were a sheet of ice … scared me to death that I might have an accident on my first date.

My Dad was basically a single parent, with help from my grandparents, and he was very strict. I did date a little in my mid teens, but he did not know.

My first date was with my now ex-husband and it was actually very memorable; we went with a group of school friends to what was called “Teen Dance Party” a televised dancing show.

My 1st date was at 12, he was 14 and our paperboy. I went on his paper route with him (ok, for a 12 yr old it was a date). He taught me how to tri fold that paper and give it a good zing at the screen door. Kissed me in an alley between the houses:-)

Okay, first off this is my most favorite movie in the whole wide world. No movie will ever live up to it’s greatness (Karate Kid 1 & 2) are right up there close though.

Now to answer the question, my first date was going to the mall movies (Beetlejuice)with my new boyfriend that drove a convertible. I thought I was the queen, back then. lol

My first date was with the grandson of our country corner store (I lived on a farm). I was 16 at the time, and I don’t think my parents were prepared for me to date, yet. My Mom was in the kitchen, and my Dad was outside working on some farm equipment. I asked my Mom about it, and she, of course, said “Go ask your Dad”. I went out to tell him the story, and, of COURSE, he said it was up to my Mom. It was quite a yoyo, and took me hours to get a straight answer. I was finally able to convince them to let me go out with him. After dating him a few times, he dropped me without even telling me (because I wouldn’t “put out”,I think)….

I went to the movies but I do not remember what I saw (not because I was otherwise engaged at the time but because it was so long ago!)

I was about to post about what I considered my first date but just now realized it really wasn’t.

I’m thinking my first real date was actually a month or two before that with a girl I had a crush on. Asked her to a Bon Jovi concert but that was pretty much the last I heard from her after that (just wanted to go to the concert obviously).

A month or two later was what I consider my first date. Typical in setting. Went to a random movie, which will disqualify me, Turner & Hooch and then walked around the mall until pick up time.

We went to Niagara Falls, NY and went out for a steak dinner at a place called Pete’s Market. We crossed over the border into the US from Canada and walked around the falls and then went for dinner. I even tried a shrimp cocktail and anyone who knows me knows I hate seafood. I must have been in love!

I was about 16 years old and my crush at the time asked me to a local dance. Our parents were cool with that – but we actually left the dance to smooch out back in the forest instead. It was one of the best nights of my life! We still keep in touch to this day

My husband and I met on a blind date. My puppy wet on his nice new Hush Puppies!! We went to local restaurant for a lovely meal, it was the blizzard of 1971 in Montreal and most of the city was closed. We married 11 months later in another blizzard but it’s been sunny ever since!

My first date was at my grade 7 graduation dance. My date was my best friend. We had the time of our lives. At the evening, he gave me my first kiss. I will never forget that moment and evening. We never did go out again, but remain friends to this day.
