SpongeBob tries to make Gary the snail take a bath. SpongeBob tries out an extreme sport(“riding the hooks”). And so on. More good-natured goofiness, and I have to confess this guy isbeginning to grow on me.
The 2.0 sound is very crisp and clear, completely distortion-free. The surround effect, however, is minimal. Even the music barely registers.
No disappointment with the picture, however. Many TV shows, for som… reason, don’t lookthat great on DVD, but not so SpongeBob. The picture is razor sharp, and the colours areabsolutely brilliant. Great stuff.
As with the Halloween disc, the extras are pretty minimal. The main page of the menu isspectacular, and quite hilarious in its own right, but the other pages are basic. The extras consistsof three different endings to “Shanghaied,” a “SongeBob Dancin’ Pants” music video, and hitsfor the SpongeBob video game.
Only the first disc in the series really delivered as far as extras are concerned, but if you’re afan of SpongeBob, I don’t know that you’ll really care all that much.
