Synopsis
Five Power Rangers adventures, three of which are two-parters, add up to almost three hours-worth of material. The cheerful super-powered teens go up against the regular batch of rubber-suited bad guys. If you want your kids to develop an early appreciation of camp, this is just theticket. If you’re not already familiar with the basic premise of the series, the plot lines could be alittle confusing.
Audio
Ouch. The 2.0 surround is a very harsh mix. …he volume is definitely high, perhaps too muchso. The dialogue itself slips into surround effects, and the overall effect is abrasive, even ifnothing particularly loud is happening on-screen.
Video
The picture is very good, especially as the TV show is now slipping into the past. Thecolours, contrasts and blacks are all strong, with very little grain. This looks as good as one couldreasonably expect.
Special Features
Nothing except trailers: X-Men: The Legend of Wolverine, George of the Jungle 2, PowerRangers Wild Force: Lion Heart and Ancient Awakening, Power Rangers Collection Volume 1,and Pokemon 4-Ever. Oh yeah, there’s also a little poster included with the liner notes.
Closing Thoughts
I didn’t think that nostalgia had already caught up with this very cheesy show. I guess I waswrong.
