    Synopsis

Earl Crest (Joshua Jackson) and his (extremely feisty) girlfriend Baby (Jamie King) aregetting ready to up sticks from Texas for LA. Unfortunately, Earl’s deeply moronic cousin hasstolen a lot of money from the wrong (and dangerous people). All sorts of comical troubleensues.

    Audio

A full 5.1 mix, and pretty good stuff. The music has some particularly nice echo effects, sounding as big as the state of the title. The sound effects are good too, with s…me very sharp useof left-right separation.

    Video

The picture comes in both 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen versions. You knowwhich one to choose. The blacks are good, as are the flesh tones. The contrasts are strong, even inthe night scenes, which was good to see.

    Special Features

Nothing at all, really. Trailers for Lone Star State of Mind, I Spy and Mr. Deeds. The menu isbasic.

    Closing Thoughts

Minor stuff, but not without laughs. Pretty bare bones as DVD releases go, however.
