Synopsis
Oh, give me a break. You want a plot synopsis for softcore 3-D porn? Fine, then. There issome incomprehensible gibberish about a crook the police are trying to nail, and the club ownercaught in the middle, who also suffers from impotence and is in love with the crook’s girl. Andthere’s a psychiatrist who keeps materializing out of thin air. There. That good enough forya? As for the sex, wake me up when it’s over.

Thin, reedy mono, but less background …iss and static than on the companion releaseWildcat Women. Still plenty of buzz and distortion on the vocals, however. pretty rawstuff all in all, but then there’s no way to make a silk purse out of this sow’s ear.

Pretty dire picture, but at least it’s in 2.35:1. Curiously the aspect ratio changes somewhatfrom scene to scene. You’ll notice the top horizontal bar thickening considerably every coupleof minutes. The colours are bland and drab, when they aren’t diabolical because of theunworkable (at least on my set) 3-D process. More headaches guaranteed. The print isn’t in badshape, with not too many sparkles or other forms of damage.
Special Features
Porn with commentary. It had to happen. Anyway, our gracious host is William Margold (theinspiration for the Burt Reynolds character in Boogie Nights). He makes it clear that therewere at least two different versions of the film shot, and what you have here is the soft version,which makes a fair bit of what he has to say about how it flirted with legality pointless. Thoughsome behind-the-scenes details are interesting, a lot of what he says (such as this or that actressbeing “in perpetual heat”) feels about as legit as the WEF. The featurette “Margold’s World”shows him hosting various porn-oriented charity events, and has various performers talking aboutwhat a wonderful father figure he is. Ick. The whole affair is decidedly creepy and depressing,but no more phony than your mainstream featurettes. You’ve also got your trailer, a photogallery, and grain-of-salt bios. The funniest of these is the one for director “Norm de Plume” (getit?). There are two pairs of 3-D glasses included, and the menu is scored.
Closing Thoughts
As a document, it’s worthy of study for students of the field. Unwatchable by any otherstandard.
