Synopsis

Lumi Cavazos had great hopes for her marriage, but now it has gone spectacularly on therocks. Amanda de Cadnet, rather more cynical, is still trying to deal with her husband’s infedility, and one of her responses is to seduce a young student. Ione Skye, meanwhile, is involved withphotographer Steve Jones, whose relationship with his daughter is just a wee bit creepy.

Audio

The sound is 2.0, and barely qualifies as stereo. It is, but only just. T…e music has almost norear speaker presence whatsoever. There is the odd sound effect that will emerge in a surroundfashion (such as a phone ringing), but for the most part this is a very front-heavy mix.

Video

The transfer is fullscreen, an insult emphasized by the fact that the trailer is widescreen. Thecolours and contrasts are good, and the blacks are strong. The night scenes aren’t murky. Thepicture is a bit soft, though, and is sometimes actually blurry.

Special Features

The disc features a still gallery, an extra that is not mentioned on the case. On the other hand, the promised audio commentary is nowhere to be found. The other, accounted-for, extras are biosand the trailer. The menu is scored.

Closing Thoughts

The story is pretty familiar, and the characters are a bit difficult to care about. The transferitself is middling, and the extras aren’t quite what is promised.
