Then there is the Maria’s older neighbour, who isthe first kind ma… Rosa has anything to do with.
Audio
The sound is in 2.0, but this is a very quiet movie, and a deluxe surround treatment wouldbe wasted on it. The music’s mix is good, and the dialogue is free of distortion. There are fewsound effects to speak of, though there has been some effort at environment creation whereappropriate. The result isn’t always perfect, however, with (for instance) heavy machinery noisescoming out of rear speakers where they have no business being.
Video
The format is fullscreen, and the composition looks badly damaged by cropping. The two-shots of the mother and daughter in particular looked cramped and chopped. The image is alsovery soft, with features disappearing into blurry pink smudges even when the characters aren’tthat distant from the camera. Some shots are grainy, and the blacks could definitely be deeper.A disappointing transfer.
