Kevin Bacon is a high-rolling stock trader. When he screws up and loses it all, he becomes(naturally) a gifted bicycle messenger, and so rebuilds his confidence. Many bike tricks and GiorgioMoroder songs ensue. Dire.
The 2.0 mix gets off to a strong start, with a truly impressive street environment simulatedduring the opening credits. Thereafter, however, the FX are pretty minimal, and take a back seatto the endless, horrible 80’s soundtrack. …he sound reproduction is pretty solid, however.
Not only is the picture fullscreen, some shots in the early going are ruined by trulyhorrendous grain. By and large, the colours are okay, if a bit drab, and the picture could besharper, but is adequate enough.
Nothing except trailers for Quicksilver, The Big Picture and White Water Summer.
Unless you’re a hardcore Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon player (in which case the cast, whichincludes Jami Gertz and Lawrence Fishburne, is useful), file this under “misbegotten.”
