Follow along with Kim Possible, Ron Stoppable and Rufus the naked mole rat as they foil the plans of some seriously wacko bad guys and still make it home for dinner. We have three episodes as well as the very first episode from this popular Disney kid’s series.
Video
The transfer of this 1.66:1 anamorphic widescreen format video is pretty good, it is not plagued with edge enhancements or noise. The story is a traditional cell animated cartoon and the video quality varies somewhat, at times…it has nice painted backgrounds with lots to see and at other times, well there is really nothing much there. The transfer is good I just wish they would put a little more effort into the animation.
Audio
Disney makes a bit of a departure here and does not include a DTS track and opt for a Dolby Digital 5.1 track only. The audio is of average quality, dialogue is clean, and the front channels get a little bit of a workout as do the surrounds. The LFE channel also gets some thumping in the episode entitled “Downhill” with the snow monster.
Special Features
For extras we have “Crush” the original episode from the series, a Kim Possible music video featuring Christy Carlson Romano who is also the voice of Kim Possible in the series. There is also a game where you need to figure out lock combinations to access background files on Kim’s Most Wanted Bad Guys. Lastly we have a number of trailers for upcoming Disney titles like Brother Bear and The Lion King: Special Edition.
Final Thoughts
If your kids watch Disney at all then they have seen this series and will enjoy this disc. Overall the story is fun and the disc looks decent so like I said the kids will have fun.
