Synopsis
This is a collection of clips along with retrospective interviews with the participants. Shower antics, bathroom disasters, lots and lots of digitally fogged nudity. If watching paint dry is just a little too racy for you, then this is just what you’re looking for.
Audio
The source material is TV, and the disc reflects this. Nothing much wrong with the sound, but there’s nothing much to it either: people talking, people yelling, musical interludes. The surroun… essentially applies to the music, but frankly, the usual criteria don’t really apply here.
Video
As with the audio, so with the video. The colour is good, and the flesh tones of the digital oval is very good. Again, not too much to say here. This is not a disc where you’re going to worry about whether the cinematographer’s vision was respected.
Special Features
The menu is animated and scored on the main page, and animated on the second. The extras are profiles of all seven contestants, a house tour, an art gallery (which is a montage of the house), and blueprints of the house.
Closing Thoughts
Outtakes from a reality TV show’s earlier season? I’m hard-pressed to imagine a more pointless exercise.
