7-Eleven does Used Video Games, Call of Duty to broaden audience & Ubisoft says no to manuals? - Welcome to the column that tried printing up a manual to help you read more efficiently but then decided that would be counter-productive known as Dare to Play the Game.
I’m still unable to really start a game lately. But interestingly enough I did go back to one game in particular over the weekend and that was Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Xbox Live Arcade. I did actually beat the game, but had to use a boatload of continues to do it. This means that I still don’t have any actual achievements in the game *sigh* (the arcade achievements require no continues). I love fighting games, I really do but I suck at them unless they have Mortal Kombat in the name. (Then I’m only good against the computer)

Call of Duty: The Break Up, Halo: Full of Bull, & Ubisoft wants to improve the DRM experience? - Welcome to the column that is full of bull and we aren’t talking about a cow either known as Dare to Play the Game.
Ever been in one of those moods where you can’t figure out what to play but yet you have dozens of games lying around unopened? So what do you do? Play something you’ve played to death and the same pile grows a little larger every time you are foolish enough to buy another game. I’ve been that way for a while. Honestly, I would love to say that could change, but it is going to take some doing.

Microsoft says no to WebTv, Red Dead Redemption’s Ad Budget, & Video Games cause Tooth Decay? - Welcome to the column that provides a foundation for healthy white teeth but is still working out the kinks on bad breath known as Dare to Play the Game.
I’m still having difficulties with playing Deadly Premonition. I’m not sure what it is, but I spent most of my time this weekend going back and forth from World of Warcraft to Game Room (Xbox Live). In WoW, I mainly worked on my Shadow Dwarf Priest & my Night Elf Hunter. My Priest is up to 76, and I don’t see any problem with him hitting 80. I could honestly stand in Northrend and quest my way to 80 if I so chose. However, my gear would suck beyond belief.

Major Nelson gets Hacked, Rock Band Greenday gets a couple of full albums, & PS3 Losing Linux? - Welcome to the column that installed Linux but didn’t like the increase in efficiency so they removed it known as Dare to Play the Game.
Hold on to your hats my friends, I actually did play Deadly Premonition for the Xbox 360 over this past weekend. I played it for roughly an hour and spent most of the time trying to get down the controls. I quickly figured out two things; the control is horrible and the story is amazing. Graphically the game is last generation (original Xbox/PS2), and the sound is quite haunting. Also, I let one of our friends play the game and she had the same problems as I did.

Your Pulse Will Be Used in Zelda, Future of Spider-Man, & EA charging for demos? - Welcome to the column that would charge for this free content but would only be getting money from his wife who would end up just asking me for the money known as Dare to Play the Game.
Remember how I was supposed to start Deadly Phenomenon? Yeah, that was total fail. I am still going to stick with my end of March but it’s going to cutting it close. However, I have moved up and actually placed the game next to the television. So, at this point, I at least have every intention to play the game and get a review out. It’s not so much I don’t want to play it, I just have trouble starting games or worried that the game I purchased will turn out to be oodles of crap.

Patenting DLC Upsell, Changing Clothes in Fable 3, & In-Game Ads Going Away (Haha, Just kidding)? - Welcome to the column that tried to patent redundancy but realized Madden from EA beat us to the punch known as Dare to Play the Game.
Well, last week I was trying to find a game to tide me over until this weekend when I would open Deadly Phenomenon for the Xbox 360. To be honest, I didn’t really try to find one. I ended up playing some World of Warcraft (there is a duh moment in there I know it), got my shadow priest to 74 and my combat rogue to 73 (I did start playing him again in spurts). I still feel I’m on track to make 80 with at least one of them by the end of the year.

Ubisoft DRM, New Forms for the Xbox 360, & Tecmo Bowl is coming back? - Welcome to the column that offers no copy protection (except for the boxing glove that appears if you try to steal any of the bad jokes) known as Dare to Play the Game.
Over the weekend, I actually finished a game review. I know, I amazed myself. The game was Data East Arcade Classics on the Wii. Retro classics, I can’t get enough of them. Needless to say, I played a healthy amount of each game but naturally some games got more time than others. Interestingly enough, the three games that received the most time were Heavy Barrel, Street Hoop, & Secret Agent.

Heavy Rain Film Rights, PS3 Lockdown, & Activision shuts down King’s Quest? - Welcome to the column that asks you don’t read any other gaming columns for the next 24 hours known as Dare to Play the Game.
This week for the time being, I am still playing Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for the Xbox 360. I ran through the story mode on both sides and grabbed myself all applicable achievements. I’m at 350 points, unless I put some serious dedication to it, I don’t see me getting much more.

Upcoming Titles for Xbox Live Arcade, Final Fantasy XIII reviews, & Apple gets rough on IPhone Apps? - Welcome to the column that will only be kid friendly to those who just got out of juvenile detention known as Dare to Play the Game.
After about four months and probably more mentions on this column than you care about, I finally have all of the achievement points in WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2010. The last achievement I had left was the training checklist. The training checklist is a nice way to learn all of the moves except you have to use the Create a Moveset to modify some of the wrestlers top open up everything.
