Synopsis

Kim Catrall is a B-movie actress about to get hitched for the third time. Lora Zane hosts abachelorette party for her. A group of old friends gather, and all their secrets about their livescome spilling out, with a special emphasis on the sexual aspect. So Catrall has doubts, Zane istrouble by heterosexual fantasies that are undermining her relationship with Olivia D’Abo,Cynthia Stevenson is being stalked by her house painter, and sisters Dana Delany (lustful andgossipy) an… Laila Robins (repressed and square) continue to feud. Good as the cast is, this isall pretty familiar material, and sympathy for this group is often hard to come by.

Audio

The 2.0 sound is no great shakes. Initially, there is virtually nothing emerging from the rearspeakers, not even music. The score picks up energy after a couple of minutes, and is morepresent from then on, but surround sound effects remain sparse. Of course, most of the film isdialogue-driven anyway. Unfortunately, the voices sound harsh and tend to distort.

Video

A fullscreen image, which is already a bad start. The colours are also a bit drab, lookingalmost brownish in some shots. The picture is a bit soft, and there is some grain as well. Theimage isn’t a disaster by any means, but is hardly inspiring, either.

Special Features

None.

Closing Thoughts

Not a bad film, but as with the technical aspects, there is nothing to get really excited abouthere.
