EA MMA News, Heavy Rain delayed Trophies, & EGM to be Re -launched? - Welcome to the column that made a comeback several years but nobody knew they were gone known as Dare to Play the Game.

Still in Wii Land, population 2. See this is the problem when you get a new system that’s been around a little while; you spend a lot of time catching up. This week was indeed no different than last. I purchased what I hoped were my final two accessories for now, a classic controller and a second Wii Motion Plus. I really like the Classic Controller, it works really well, I only wish more regular Wii games actually supported the darn thing. But for VC games, it is a champ.

Here is an interesting fact for those reading this review. I don’t drink alcohol. In fact, the only time I’ve actually drank anything alcoholic is when somebody else spiked my drink (usually some kind of juice). So imagine my surprise when I receive a copy of a show based on alcoholic drinks to review. However, it might not be so bad when I realize it is in the style of all those “Travel to Destination A, show me all of the cool stuff that goes on there while making funny anecdotes” ones on the Travel Network that I actually enjoy.

Zane Lamprey is a comedian who has done a lot of reality shows. At first he hosted a few of those Girls Gone Wild specials and was in five episodes of Damage Control. He also landed a spot on the Food Network with the show Have Fork, Will Travel that unfortunately only lasted a season of thirteen episodes. But his most famous show to date has been Three Sheets.

Saboteur Nudity, Greenday for Rockband, & PS3 could have used Network storage? - Welcome to the column that should have probably read the fine print when it came to organ donation known as Dare to Play the Game.

Thankfully, I received my Wii component cable on Saturday night. It hooked right up, and soon I was thrilled to death when I realized I had no sound at all. Of course it would help if I placed the jacks in the right pair of holes. Anyway, played around with the settings for a while making sure I selected 480p, widescreen & set the network connection.

Janky is a term that means shady or dishonest. An adjective that is anything but tasteful. Throw that in with the noun promoters and what you have is possibly the biggest revelation since somebody discovered Jon & Kate would have marital issues with eight children & a camera crew running around. Oh really? So, when I received Janky Promoters in the mail with Ice Cube and Mike Epps smiling ear to ear, all I could think was “Janky Promoters indeed.”

Russell Redds (played by Ice Cube) is an entertainment promoter. He has a fiancée named Loli (played by Jowharah Jones) who he plans to take to Aruba. He also has a kid named Seymour (played by Little JJ) who has aspirations of being a young rapper. It sounds like the perfect family but yet there are more than a few kinks in this scenario.

New Super Mario breaks records, Video Game Stuckness, & Eco Boxes for the Xbox 360? - Welcome to the column that is about to act a fool, up in here (up in here) known as Dare to Play the Game.

There comes a time in a man’s life when he’s forced to make difficult decisions. Decisions that he never thought he would make. After years of bashing a product, he was led to make a decision by the most important denominator of all. His bride to be. Yes my fledgling fans, your favorite column writer has bought a Nintendo Wii. And yes, Sarah was the primary influence.

Spongebob Squarepants is such the cultural phenomenon that anytime an anniversary or a full length motion picture comes into production, the show can usually get a slew of good actors and sports stars to do a cameo. For Spongebob’s tenth anniversary and third tv movie of the series: he decided to bring out a slew of guest stars. The only question that remained was the hour long episode any good or was it the show’s version of week old bread with those really crusty parts?

Today is the day of the eleventy seventh (that’s 117 for you land dwellers) of the Krusty Krab. It was just yesterday when Spongebob had tasted his first Krabby Patty and knew his life’s goal would be to work at the establishment. Spongebob showers, puts on his clothes including his eager face and goes to the Krusty Krab to clock into work. When he gets there, he realizes that the place is surrounded by customers all eager to get in.

Nintendo selling a ton of Wiis, Rockband tops 1,000 & 3D Gaming will be wave of the future? - Welcome to the column that promises to push technology that will be around a hundred years from now like the ballpoint pen & Ding Dongs known as Dare to Play the Game.

Thanksgiving has come and gone along with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I geared up a little differently this year for Black Friday by sitting in front of my computer and watching Amazon. After the dust cleared, I think my wallet was probably gasping for air a bit. Two cds, four blu-rays, a dvd tv set, a couple of things for the significant other, and yes even my wedding ring. Five orders in all, and actually no video games.

It’s really hard to explain but I feel like I have shared a small lifetime with a director named Bradford May. At first, it was a couple of Darkman sequels that were simply good doses of cult sequel fare. I didn’t expect much and I received back exactly that, so I was satisfied. But then as I continued to review more and more movies, as his films started to pop up in my queue. First there was Ring of Death & then Mask of the Ninja. Both could be described as typical action beat-em up movies. Then Bradford decided to take on direction for The Storm, a mini-series that was shown on NBC and somehow it ended up in my review pile. I’m starting to think that this is no mere coincidence anymore.

Dr. Jonathon Kirk (played by James Van Der Beek) is a renowned scientist working at the Atmospheric Research Institute. He is aided by his fellow scientist, Dr. Jack Hoffman (played by Rich Sommer) and newcomer Carly Meyers (played by Erin Chambers). They are being funded by the U.S. government to manipulate technology that will allow them to control the weather.

Superman: The Animated Series was made in the same fashion as Batman: The Animated Series. The tone was a little more serious and a lot more action. It was first produced in 1996 and made 54 episodes through the year 2000. The show received high praise for raising the bar but at the same time keeping what was important to the mythos of Superman. In fact, it even received a nomination for an Emmy. Besides Smallville, this probably stands out as the best television adaption of the one known as Superman, the Last Son of Krypton and hero to the planet Earth (and beyond).

Most of us know the story of Superman, but perhaps it is best that we run it over a little bit adapted to the actual animated series. Krypton is approaching devastation but only one scientist believes it to be true, Jor-El. He feeds his information to a computer named Brainiac who is in charge of the planet and all of its major operations. The computer analyzes the information and says the planet is safe. Jor-El knows the computer is lying and can't convince the others of the danger.

Xbox Bannings, Judge takes off of work for Modern Warfare & More Mr. T commercials? - Welcome to the column that always claims at least one drumstick for themselves and then tries to blame it on the seven year old when it disappears known as Dare to Play the Game.

It's the day before Thanksgiving. Truth be told, I am sitting here in my easy chair at home trying to bust this one out. I only worked a couple of days this week because there was very few people in the office and there wasn't much to do outside of organization. Gaming this week has been some World of Warcraft (dinged 48 on my priest who is the only character I've been playing since I've reactivated my accounts) and some Grand Theft Auto IV: Episodes.
