We recently reviewed a pretty good direct-to-video film with Bruce Willis called Fire With Fire. Jeremy Butler provided the review. The two of us had the great honor to chat with the director David Barrett. Barrett has directed some of the best television shows running. He’s worked on hits like Blue Bloods, Castle, The Mentalist and Once Upon A Time. He’s even been a part of the new Arrow series over at the CW. Some horror directors just start out with a bang. That’s certainly the case in point for Darren Lynn Bousman. He directed Saw II, III and IV to start his career. He’s also responsible for the remake of Mother’s Day and the quirky cult favorite Repo! The Genetic Opera. This time around it’s True Blood’s Stephen Moyer in The Barrens. If you happen to be a fan of wrestling and horror films of the 1980’s Jesse Thomas Cook has a two-for-one deal with Monster Brawl. I had the opportunity to chat with him for a few minutes about the new project.

On Friday I had a chance to chat with Tom Caltabiano. If you’re a fan of the hit series Everybody Loves Raymond or the stand-up of the show’s star Ray Romano, you should already know who Tom is. He’s been Ray’s buddy, touring partner, show writer and opening act since 1991. His intimate documentary of one of those tours is the subject of the new recently released 95 Miles To Go on DVD. Tom talks about the release and his time with Ray on the road.

On Friday I got the opportunity to chat with Jeffrey Combs for a few minutes just as he had returned from doing some voice work for Transformers Prime. I had the chance to chat with Cyrus Nowrasteh on Tuesday Night. His recent film, The Stoning Of Soraya M. is one of the most unforgettable films you will ever see. So, how is your weekend going? Mine started out with a conversation with horror writer/director William Malone. Malone created quite a few scares in his career with the likes of FeardotCom and the Masters Of Horror highlight Fair-Haired Child. Malone’s latest film is the impressive Parasomnia. I recently reviewed the film here at Upcomingdiscs on DVD. Malone was kind enough to arrange for me to get a Blu-ray, which I’ll talk about later.
